"Anything Goes" Challenge No 2

It's week 2 over on "Anything Goes". There are lots of inspirational designs by the DT so why not pop over and have look and join in. This weeks challenge closes on Monday evening.
Here is my entry this week, the theme being lace, pearls, cream and pink.I used Victorian Velvet DI to cover the A5 card, layered a piece of Tim's Vintage Shabby, which I distressed around the edge on to the card. The flourish is from a Sizzix die, painted with Claudines Traditional Tan acrylic paint I then glued pearls on all the swirls. The frame around the Crafty Individuals image was coloured with Victorian Velvet and triple embossed with clear ultra thick embossing powder. I attached a piece of cream antique lace below the image and attached the cream flowers using dull gold brads. I think I may eventually use this as a birthday card for a friend whose birthday is in July I'm quite safe as she doesn,t have a PC.

  2. Me again! You just need to right click on the award pic and save to your PC.
BTW for the 365 journal, say between May and June, do you leave the back of May and front of June blank, do you glue them together or what?
I had every intention of doing some sewing before anything else today, but it's DD's partners granddaughter's 2nd birthday (sounds a bit confusing, but wanted to show clearly) today and DD had looked in some shop yesterday but couldn't find anything she liked so asked me to make one. The problem is when people are fairly specific I find it diffictult, though it wasn't too bad but I did have to type the greeting on the PC. She wanted A5 (I'm never quite sure of the sizes - A4 in half :-/) and I do have some envelopes that size but can't find them even though I do keep all my cards and envelopes in 3 drawers. I also have templates for most sizes but tend to forget and anyway can't remember off the top of my head where they are. So ended up covering up a used brown envelope - it was a bit of a pig's ear really but DD wan't bothered. I really must dig out those templates! Perhaps it would be a good idea to put them in one of the drawers where the cards and envelopes are! hehe
Hope you're having a good day.

  4. Hi Pat, The pics of Pip and Rolo are so lovely and are just like Scout and Duffy, our Borders! Duffy is 21 and living in Essex and he is a grizzle colour and of course Scout was black. Borders are fab hounds aren't they? We so so miss Scout. Thanks for your lovely message.
    Best wishes,
