Appearances are deceptive

Everyone thinks I am sooooooooooooooo tidy but just look at my ribbon box, is that tidy or what. If anyone can come up with a solution to store this mass I would be very grateful. Back to my desk that isn't so tidy today as I am in the middle of doing a double page spread in Clare's journal. This is a circle journal that 12 of us are taking part in, organised by Dyan (AFTH) and Dy's friend Bezzie Su, actually I think Su is doing all the hard work ( sorry Dyan) organising and co-ordinating the circle. So on my desk are journal pages that I am in the middle of doing, lots of goodies we use in our journals, a large roll of sequin waste, 2 new blue DI ink pads. There is also a Kaiser tag box waiting to be decorated and put together. If you could see underneath my desk that's not very tidy either. The more I buy the more storage space I need, DH shares part of this room with me, I need him to move out I have suggested the garden shed to him or even a house up the road which is for sale but he didn't appreciate it ROFL.

  6. House up the road for hubby, I love it LOL I can't believe your ribbon box Pat if you're known for being so tidy - I mean mines like that but I'm not tidy. I do have ideas for my ribbons just don't carry them out. I did cut some ribbon tags, like the sort that they sometimes come on but it's finding somewhere to hang them. I've thought about hanging them on the side of my bookshelf but as it's not wood not sure I could drill into it, so am thinking of sticking small rails on with 'no nails' adhesive! I think a colander is a good idea to thread the ribbons through but again it's where to put it.
BTW if you fancy going to the ICHF show at Aintree 23-25th April let me know, you can travel down with me.

  10. love your ribbon box - would love to get my hands in that!!! you sent me some lovely ribbon - thank you... i have colour co-ordinated jars for mine which remind me of sweets...

anyway, how hilarious about asking your OH to move out your room... i'm sorry to tell you Pat, but you're doing it all wrong. What you need is a tactic to make him think that it was his idea to move out - with a little gentle persuasion like making it a really girly place where he feels out of sorts, or play music he doesn't like, or put things on the wall that don't appeal to him. What about his favourite football team - being Spanish, i'd imagine he'd be passionate about the game - paint the room in the colours of his team's aarch rivls... you really need to put on your thinking cap!!!

  17. Ooh interesting looking journal pages Pat. Can't wait to see more. :) I've actually got a good solution for your ribbons & no it's not for them to come & live with me! Will email you a link. :)
Might not be such a good idea seeing the size of your pile.... I mean box but will let you see what you think.
I think Paula's idea of making the room girlie is a good 'un. What about some perfumed air freshners sure to shift a guy. :)
    Good Luck. Hugs, Gez.xx

  18. I can't help you with ribbon storage either, yours looks much like mine (see last week's show'n'tell for that!) - a bit like an explosion in a paint factory. There HAS tob e a way to do it......????
