Another mop up page that I decided to use to celebrate the recent "Blue Moon". The moon I cut from a Gel Plate background then gave it a coating of Tim's Glossy Accents I drew round the edge with one of Tim's Distress Crayons. The buildings stamp is one of New York which I actually bought from the Ink Pad in New York. It does look a bit dark and blotchy but I thought it gave the impression of night.
patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-6341028801595544242018-02-13T12:59:00.001-08:002018-02-13T12:59:09.135-08:00

I love this stamp of Frida Kahlo. This was a mop up page in my large Dylusions journal, I just added some stencilling using my Dylusions inks and stencils plus some stamping with a Kate Crane stamp for Stampotique. I also used some of my Washi tape. Hope you like it.
patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-86719264411736399512017-11-02T04:37:00.002-07:002017-11-02T04:37:36.084-07:00Here's November Art Calendar. The background is a mop up page with added stamping, the calendar squares are from Artist papers free in the Somerset Studio magazines. I quite enjoyed doing this page especially after I made a mess of Octobers page I got all the days and dates wrong so didn't post.
Little Monster is an Elena Zinski stamp, I just love them, the circles, trees and hedgehogs are all from a Kim Dellow set for Paper Artsy. If I'm honest I am not sure about the infusions but love Elena Zinski stamps they are all so cute.
This idea came from Marjie Riordan Kemper I saw it on her blog how to use up the many rolls of washi tape that we all have in our stash. I painted a double page spread using Dina Wakley heavy body acrylic paint Turquoise then placed rows of black and white washi tape. Using Ranger blending tool and foam I blended Archival ink Venetian Orange and Deep Purple through a couple of Crafters Workshop stencils and then stamped using Dina's stamps and black Archival ink.patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-78858315571271293662017-08-04T12:58:00.001-07:002017-08-04T12:58:03.586-07:00AUGUST 2017 ART CALENDAR CHALLENGE

My August page finished and ready to go. The beach huts and little boats are Stamps by Kate Crane for Stampotique and the little Balloon Boy is a stamp by Magda Polakow. I think I may have difficulty finding a pen to show my writing on these dark squares probably a white Uni-ball Signo pen will be best.patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-29419566136070268602017-07-31T09:22:00.001-07:002017-07-31T09:22:51.614-07:00FAST AND FURIOUSSpent a fab day at Art From The Heart Harrogate yesterday, it was a Tracy Scott workshop titled" Fast and Furious" but it wasn't in the least it was actually quite relaxing. We did three different pages using masking tape, Dina's paints Amsterdam paints and Dylusions ink sprays. The words were stamped using Tim's new foam alphabet stamps and black Archival ink. I might add to mine later but at the moment I am quite happy with my pages.
I have not blogged for over two years at least and I have even forgotten how to blog so if things are a bit haywire please excuse me. The above is a page I started on the 1st May 2017 and decided to add to it and finish it the other evening. The arrows are from one of Dyan's stamp sets, the others forming the background are from Seth Apter stamp sets which I love. The image is one of Tim Holtz "Paper Dolls, the quote I found in a news paper. I have machine stitched all the way round the page. I was going to fix this into one of my journals but I like it so much that it is now on the wall in my craft room.patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-27001106221384546542014-11-24T09:34:00.001-08:002014-11-24T09:35:44.270-08:00A JOURNAL PAGEI really ought to learn how to crop these photos then you don't see all the other stuff behind.
It's ages since I did an Art Journal page but when i saw this image in my Nespresso magazine I knew I wanted to use it for a page and this is the result, I really enjoyed myself with this page.
So here is November just waiting to be filled in, the photo isn't all that good as the light outside at this time of year is not good especially in the north of England.
I was lost for words and quite emotional that these friends would spend so much time and work making what can only be described as an heirloom for me, we have a King size bed so you can just imagine the size of this beautiful piece of work, I just love, love, love everything about it. We all met up today at Sandra's house (Sandy Poppins) as we were going for a celebration lunch this is when they presented me with this stunning surprise. My photo does not do it justice in real life it is amazing and is actually a "Friendship Quilt" not a throw as I said earlier.
If you want to know more about it then just pop along to Kate's blog where you will find the details or on Face Book.
The background consists of torn strips of black and white paper and strips of masking tape all to give texture. I coated the majority of the page with Gesso and pressed a piece of card into it to give added texture, when it was dry I sprayed Dylusion inks.

I used Dyan's ghosting technique through a Dylusion stencil and sprayed through the stencil too I stamped on to the page with Dylusion stamps "Basic Backgrounds". The images and borders were I think from Tumblefish Studios. I used my Portfolios around the images, circles and computer generated quotes to give yet more texture. I am quite pleased with this page I may later add more to it but for the moment I am happy with it.patcraftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06203430003457395033noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732764925161592878.post-69770007734322815852014-02-02T14:00:00.000-08:002014-02-02T14:00:03.520-08:00FEBRUARY ART CALENDAR CHALLENGEI had my February page already to go last Monday but forgot to blog it until just now when I went to link it to Kate's blog page and realised it wasn't on here but anyway here it is now. The background is done with Gelatos then Dylusion inks sprayed through stencils, my journal squares are Blonde Moments and my images etc are from the Octopode Factory
It was art journalling for us regulars, it was a brill day and we did something completely different, at least I had never done a page like it. We were given the task of finding a face in a magazine to stick in our journals on a page with a completed background and this is the result.
Well here's my January page for Kate's Art Calendar challenge,

this is my fifth year of the challenge can you tell I enjoy doing it lol. My page has a very wintry feel to it lots of icy blue and snowflakes everywhere. My numbers are dare I say it silver peel offs but I thought they go with the icy feel. I don't know why I decided on such a cold spread as it is quite warm here in the north of England at the moment, my car registered 10c this afternoon, incredible. Anyway less of the rambling and I hope you like my page.
I don't know why when i post the photo it now always ends up in the middle of the writing, does anybody know why?
We were then given a sheet of card and had to write about Christmas using the full page, we then chose different colours and sprayed the page using Dylusion sprays. On the reverse side we drew lots of stars through the stencil abd then cut them out we then gave one of our own stars to everyone in the class so we had a combination of our own stars and the gifted ones, brill idea these were glued on to our page, I doodled on mine, cut out some snowflakes and added a cut out tree from one of Dyan's

I actually had my calendar page ready on time but haven't had time to post it until today, it's my busy social life which interferes with getting things done in fact I ran out of time and did this page really quickly I'm not mad keen on it but it will have to do. I have been with Kate's challenge
